My Story
Since working as a broadcast journalist during the dawn of the Internet, Andy Lyon has been a believer in the power of video. Well-told video stories can change lives and move people to take positive actions. As an award-winning reporter and news director, he strove to use the power of the medium wisely. Today, he continues that work through Fire Light Video. He also works as a Public Information Officer (PIO) on wildfires across the country.
Andy volunteers as a PIO for the Larkspur Fire Protection District and, as a public service, produced a video on the Black Forest Fire for the Pikes Peak Wildfire Prevention Partners. He is a long time member of the Emergency Services Public Information Officers of Colorado and produced its 25th anniversary video. Andy is a volunteer trip leader with the Colorado Mountain Club (learn about hiking/skiing/climbing with us at CMC.org)
He lives in Colorado Springs where, when he is not hiking or gardening or making videos, he assists his wife with her business, Sweet William Antique Mall.
