Since working as a broadcast journalist during the dawn of the Internet, Andy Lyon has been a believer in the power of video. Well-told video stories can change lives and move people to take positive actions. Now mostly retired, he still works as a Public Information Officer (PIO) on wildfires in Colorado and across the country.

Andy volunteers as a PIO for the Larkspur Fire Protection District and, as a public service, produced a video on the Black Forest Fire for the Pikes Peak Wildfire Prevention Partners. He was a long time member of the Emergency Services Public Information Officers of Colorado and produced its 25th anniversary video. He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife of 46 years and their dog, George.
